The game that hopes to found the urban-based animal survival genre is coming to the PlayStation Network next month. Today Sony announced that Tokyo Jungle is about to hit PlayStation 3 owners on September 25th. Two new trailers for the sport have also hit the web today, giving gamers a glimpse of a Tokyo overrun by animals and where survival is the sole rule.
Tokyo Jungle is a special sort of post-apocalyptic survival game. Not like most post-apocalyptic stories where not less than several humans may be able to eek out some type of existence, humans are nowhere to be present in Tokyo Jungle. Instead, players chose to play as one in every of over 50 different animals, including cats, dogs, elephants, giraffes, pandas, chickens, deer, bears, and dinosaurs.
The object of the sport is to outlive inside the urban jungle it’s now Tokyo using each specific animal’s talents, though Sony hints that discovering the fate of mankind is part of the sport’s story mode. Tokyo Jungle was developed by PlayStation C.A.M.P., a developer and skill search program Sony has prepare to assist indie talent in Japan get their ideas made into games. If Tokyo Jungle is any indication, programs consisting of C.A.M.P. have to be more widespread and will become the source of amazing new gaming ideas and IPs.
